consume less stuff
recycle your trash and recycle your government, is one of many good and environmental-friendly advices on storyofstuff.com.
i found the site through toothlesstiger.net - run by henriette weber, who advocates no noise marketing, and encourages businesses to embrace the chaos of personal relationships, instead of relying on traditional ad campaigns.
consume less! is the message. this will be top-of-mind once i start to build noochi’s product catalogue. consuming smarter is equal to consuming less. and to add a little zen to this: Coming empty-handed, going empty-handed — that is human. (thank you, mr. lee, for the article. i will try not to mis-use the concept of zen again, but it is such a lovely, lovely word)

I have watched the storyofstuff video several times and just love the way its done and the clear message : ‘consume less, buy less, and be a concious consumer - I have a saying that goes for everything I do : less but GOOD. Look for instance at all the junk people add to their baskets in the supermarket!!! Sometimes I find myself STARING with an open mouth, thinking that it cant be real. So if we cut away most of the junk, we can afford to buy organic and fairtrade. Consumers have ALL THE POWER. We actually have the choice to make a difference.
