2 great sites - found on springwise - for involving your friends in your pet projects. whether it be making a wrong right or saving for something special: chip in.
Make Something Happen - get to the point
Springwise writes:

The Point takes the notion of the tipping point—that point at which group action will produce a clear result and inevitable change—and applies it to organizing group efforts. Those who join a campaign pledge to take specific action—to boycott a company, for example, or donate funds toward a cause—but no one actually acts until the campaign reaches its preset tipping point, or number of pledged participants. When that point is reached, however, the action is triggered and participants make their donations, attend the event or boycott the organization.

Saving will never be the same - Smartypig.com
springwise writes:

SmartyPig offers a safe, secure way for consumers to save towards a specific goal—a wedding, remodeling project or vacation, for example—and it adds a dash of social networking and added incentives to speed up the process.

back with fill #1

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

annette bening in american beauty sits in her car and repeats: “i do NOT want to be a victim, i do NOT want to be a victim”… by focusing on these words she actually becomes the victim… rule #1 in the law of attraction; what you focus on, will happen. words chosen for any mantra therefore are of extreme importance, and so, advised by mr. lee, i have also changed the wording of mine. apparently it worked. at least one of them did.

i’ll be back with fill #2

generating new ideas must happen all the time. the text says: i will get a viable business idea...
i was told that many americans who read the secret (aka the law of attraction) sleep with an over size million dollar cheque plastered to the ceiling above their bed. i will keep these next to my bed instead.

one could of course also just go to springwisetags:

money makes the world go ’round

Thursday, March 13th, 2008
money makes the western world go 'round don’t be naive! said my newly appointed and always brilliant business coach mr. lee. you need to make money with this project. and although this to me has seemed secondary, i am so-so aware that money is the only one of the main reasons i haven’t quit my day job to set my own agenda.

homework: sketch a few business models for how to make a living out of this project.

this made me re-think my first idea… and go into phase 2, which then of course, represents new challenges. i hope my brain will soon explode with a beautiful plan. it is warming up thoroughly. thank you so much, mr. lee. and thank you so much, utterly cool carla, who founded artrebels (and who btw, will rock the friggin world with it!), who was nice enough to meet with me, and share some very valuable insights and concerns (now included in my second take).

when i “handed in” my employers’ new web site, i composed a thorough thank you speech for the company intranet. my boss said she got associations to the oscars. however; saying thank you does not mean one is done. the website i manage still has major flaws, as does my business idea… but it is satisfying to see things grow in the right direction, and in a direction that i myself is responsible for. and so i thank the people that follow my ideas and development debate with me on a most regular basis. thank you! and i thank the people that are good enough to pop up as bright stars of inspiration on a cloudy night. thank you!

money makes my brain the world go ’round, because money is needed for potential to unfold and to become some sort of love of life! not just for me. love. in the becoming.tags:, , , , ,

wel come man

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

i have just returned from the magnificant goa. the poverty and the corruption is as cruel as the beaches, nature, and people are amazing and full of grace. people have so little, and therefore become brilliant - as they have to unleash all of their talents and creativity to survive. and though sometimes cheeky, and sometimes using semi-manipulating storytelling to obtain full sales impact, people are honest, open and full of trust. i have never before seen such charming national traits. man power is so easily found and people are hungry for work. waiters working from 7 in the morning till 11 at night every day of the week make as little as 100 rupees (app 3$) per day and often are not allowed to keep tips. a fisher man or field worker make as little as 25 rupees per day. and mind you; this is in goa where indians from all over the country come to work, as tourism = money is mainly to be found here. the opportunities for win-win situations seem endless. we (ab fab o and yours truly) want to do good. make good people rich. help if we can.

i want to go back to goa asap
ab fab o took these pictures.
this little business in the sand (decorate a cardboard box, place it in the sand and you’re in business) as shown on photo above inspired me to think that noochi should have an indian corner (and a theme corner from anywhere that i travel to, really). the next time i go, i will bring a laptop and upload photos of nice handicrafts for sale for as long as i am there. i will simply ship the goods on location, and thus not have to worry about storage or anything. how cool would that be. total zen!tags:, , ,

sofa rock

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

this week has been a long one (i enjoy my precious time on earth, and time usually flies with incredible speed so i should be thankful for this). my job has taken a lot of energy. but i did also occupy my brain with noochi - not least thanks to wonderful friends, who keep on asking what’s going on. My friend louise emphasized the importance of what sanya said about making a business plan, sanya sent me info on a free seminar for entrepreneurs, allan asked if i finally decided on oscommerce. thank you! thank you!

i have fully realized that i need a super duper business plan, and that i need to make a vision statement so i can consider getting a bit of sponsoring (thanks louise - you are so #¤%&}* clever!) and thus think of ways to ensure some kind of steady income underneath the uncertainty of running an artsy web shop. i have decided that WHEN i have my super cool plan laid out, i will pay my way out of the smack of commerce software. i need a nice pro - preferably one who already made a cool shop for someone else. i am all for recycling and for buying what others paid for.

this plan rocks! so does my sofa.tags:, ,

real people - real ideas

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

what i love about the noochi concept is that business networking becomes pure pleasure - or vise versa (although my concept evolves around it, formal “networking activities” can be quite a drag… sipping luke warm white wine and pretending you give a shit care when you don’t is a complete pain). but today, i attended a very sweet 6-year birthday at my most lovely friends’, and came home with 2 kinda’ wins.

first, i have my eye on a very cool woman whom i want in noochi’s board of directors and she was quite open to the concept. she confirmed that she knows a lot about building a business - in particular she knows what NOT to do (extremely valuable when you are driven by enthusiasm more so than by practical experience!)… i hope my blog will soon have a more lengthy follow-up to my involvement of her!

second, another extremely good-karma-powerwoman had a bright export idea. She is a flea market expert (amongst many other more acknowledged expertises) and had identified a fruitful way to utilize this particular talent. i told her that she could consider noochi one of her channels for sales and marketing, once noochi is up and running. i am sure that if noochi had already been functional, her product portfolio could have been showcased here within the coming week. i can’t wait to have a fully functional shop and a fully functional programme. tags:, ,

it all makes a difference

Monday, October 8th, 2007
i met lars, my previous boss, for coffee the other day. Besides being an awesome team leader (a complete role model in this area), he makes paintings (and many other things for that matter) - and i have often thought of him as part of the very lovely talent cloud that surrounds me. translation service - Elsk means love in danish

his response to my ideas concerning noochi was very positive and insightful. Before finishing the latte he even agreed to sell his paintings through noochi. The answer: “why not?” is the one i am hoping for from all the talents noochi puts a zoom on.

the dark image says it all makes a difference. And my happiness in agreeing to this point is great. I feel very fortunate, privileged and almost blessed that I cling on to so many very good, talented, generous people. all really does make a difference. and who knows? - noochi might turn lars into a millionaire billionaire in a not too far future. it all makes a difference - click to check

I believe in noochi

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

For the first time in my life, I have an idea for a business that I would enjoy to build and that I really believe will carry through. It is a low risk/ max benefit business for everyone that I plan to involve. All the people I have mentioned it to have been positive and full of ideas for how to develop the concept. I have gotten around to getting www.noochi.com and www.noochi.dk and at the moment I only have ideas behind the domains. I would like to build the most brilliant of webshops. A shop that markets and sells the wonderful productions that my friends and family are behind. Although I have tons of confidence in my talented friends and family, I would also market and sell various types of niche productions of other underground - and more established - talents. I have a concept laid out in the rough - but it needs refinement of course. Everyone will gain. The talents will get a channel for distribution of their productions. The buyers will be happy that they get a unique piece with a great and authentic story behind it. I will get to be my own boss and deal only with people I like and respect. I plan to involve as many great people as I possibly can. I make my own rules to ensure no one looses.
