The most scalable one in my opinion is a <a href="http://www.revahealth.com/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.revahealth.com/');">medical tourism portal</a>. </p>
<p>The web is Globalization. The web is a mirror of societies. Its a huge mirror, yet we go back to select spots as our brains keep reaching their capacity. Home. To the safe places. New text mining tools are out there. Incredible in capacity, able to crunch and conserve huge amounts of data. Since this is my daily business, I often think of this when I exercise my right to express myself. What weird picture could be made of my text bits, my blips, my connections, my life online. Data clouds and data integration is mighty fascinating. And a bit intimidating. But I guess that&#8217;s the only way to quality control what&#8217;s being published. The best, the bravest, the ones who care the less about the norms, or the ones who care the most. All will continue ahead. </p>
<p>I read a <a href="http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/why_is_google_afraid_of_facebook_part_ii_facebooks.php?utm_source=feedburner&#038;utm_medium=feed&#038;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+readwriteweb+%28ReadWriteWeb%29&#038;utm_content=Twitter" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/why_is_google_afraid_of_facebook_part_ii_facebooks.php?utm_source=feedburner&#038;utm_medium=feed&#038;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+readwriteweb+%28ReadWriteWeb%29&#038;utm_content=Twitter');">presumption that Google is afraid of Facebook</a>. Afraid. Such a strong word for such a mighty business. Uncertainty is what keeps creativity flowing (more <a href="http://www.dr.dk/K/Onsdag.htm" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.dr.dk/K/Onsdag.htm');">DRK</a> - <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABAHR0oNusM" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABAHR0oNusM');">Deepak Chopra</a>).<br />
Follow people in search of truth, and stay far from those who found it. </p>
<p>I consider having my teeth checked when going on my annual winter trip. Had the medical tourism portal included dentists in Goa, I would have used it. I have <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE5BK0FO20091221" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE5BK0FO20091221');">morale remorse</a> , just like the web says. I have characteristics that places me quite distinctively in a segment. Feels weird. When at the same time people are suffering and the world is so uneven. I hope that web transparency will bring out the best in all of us. I defend the state of luxury living. </p>

<p>A Fresh, New Decade is upon us! I strongly feel that great things will happen, as we all open our eyes in acceptance of reality and opportunity. </p>
<p>If you dream about a change for too long, without taking action towards it, you become unreliable as a person. Tons of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Self-Help-Health-Mind-Body-Books/b/ref=bhp_bb0309A_selfhe2?ie=UTF8&#038;node=4736&#038;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&#038;pf_rd_s=browse&#038;pf_rd_r=1ZEMDVSR0B3958A89TKG&#038;pf_rd_t=101&#038;pf_rd_p=506436391&#038;pf_rd_i=283155" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.amazon.com/Self-Help-Health-Mind-Body-Books/b/ref=bhp_bb0309A_selfhe2?ie=UTF8&#038;node=4736&#038;pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&#038;pf_rd_s=browse&#038;pf_rd_r=1ZEMDVSR0B3958A89TKG&#038;pf_rd_t=101&#038;pf_rd_p=506436391&#038;pf_rd_i=283155');">literature</a>, coaches, <a href="http://noochi.com/blog/2009/01/07/fuel-for-proper-new-years-resolutions/" >whatever</a>, will help you <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&#038;rlz=1B3GGGL_enDK239DK241&#038;q=break+down+your+goals&#038;aq=f&#038;aql=&#038;aqi=&#038;oq=" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&#038;rlz=1B3GGGL_enDK239DK241&#038;q=break+down+your+goals&#038;aq=f&#038;aql=&#038;aqi=&#038;oq=');">break down your goals</a> into easily executable pieces, but you already know instinctively what you have to do. </p>
<p>As 2009 has come to an end, I feel particularly grateful for my ab fab O, for my modern family and gorgeous friends. My Granny died in the Fall and it was Nature&#8217;s cause and a merciful death. She was my only grandparent and now I have none. I feel grateful for everything she taught me and for her love. I don&#8217;t fear death, because I live. Its a new family structure though. My parents are the old ones now. I&#8217;m the grown up. </p>
<p>In <a href="http://noochi.com/blog/2008/12/29/new-year-speech-2009/" >2009</a> I have (pretty much) done what I set my mind to (travel plans slightly altered but I am very content). That makes me feel strong. I want to be physically stronger too. And I want to analyze less before I take action. These are my new year&#8217;s resolutions. I will leave some excess fat and redundant analysis behind. </p>
<p>Although there are tons of things to criticize about our planet, <a href="http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080303/hayden" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080303/hayden');">War</a>, <a href="http://money.blogs.time.com/2009/12/22/the-top-recession-porn-stories-of-2009/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://money.blogs.time.com/2009/12/22/the-top-recession-porn-stories-of-2009/');">Recession</a>, <a href="http://www.we-make-money-not-art.com/wow/0aaamongoldanselsep.jpg" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.we-make-money-not-art.com/wow/0aaamongoldanselsep.jpg');">climate going to hell</a>, I feel that <a href="http://trendwatching.com/trends/10trends2010/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://trendwatching.com/trends/10trends2010/');">trends look promising</a>. The underground values become mainstream. </p>
<p>I thank everyone who stretches the norms. Everyone who shares and cares and do their own thing, or who follow with their eyes wide open. Please share what you plan on leaving behind or doing differently moving ahead.</p>
<p>My motto for 2010: ACT (rather than reACT).</p>

Inspired by a <a href="http://documentaries.about.com/od/revie2/fr/gonzo.htm" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://documentaries.about.com/od/revie2/fr/gonzo.htm');">documentary on the Father of Gonzo journalism</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunter_S._Thompson" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunter_S._Thompson');">Hunter S. Thompson</a>, I realize that maybe my endorsing policy is <del datetime="2009-10-28T17:49:37+00:00">a lazy one</del> far from ideal. </p>
<p>It is easy to stand strong on a positive quality. Easy to buy products that combine good quality with good taste or convenience or environmental consideration. When you criticize, you have to make sure your research is fair, gather the facts, which for the most part is a much more demanding endavor. Environmental concerns, companies&#8217; wrong doings, anything we happily put into our bodies, global trade policies. Sometimes a negative characteristic will be weighed out by other positive concerns and vice versa. </p>
<p>Hunter S. Thompson always chose side, and pointed out angles, and painted pictures that others hadn&#8217;t seen quite as clearly. As long as you are open to other view points, and articulate your prerequisites, your opinion is valid. You will not fail as a critic.</p>
<p>I am not done reflecting on this. </p>

10 days late for <a href="http://www.blogactionday.org/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.blogactionday.org/');">blog action day</a> in favor of climate change. I&#8217;ve had good opportunity to debate wind mill parks with strangers, from the windows of highly polluting airplanes landing or taking off in CPH. Tomorrow will be my 7th and 8th flight this month. I know its right to <a href="http://www.dothegreenthing.com/actions/stay_grounded" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.dothegreenthing.com/actions/stay_grounded');">Stay Grounded</a>, yet I travel. I enjoy seeing all the wind mills, working with the wind. I am aware that these <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_energy" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_energy');">produce only fractions of the energy we consume</a>. They&#8217;re still a <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/tag/wind-turbines/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.inhabitat.com/tag/wind-turbines/');">good sign</a>. As are the predictions that we will soon have <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_car" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_car');">electric cars</a> and the fact that <a href="http://www.customerthink.com/blog/people_will_consume_less_but_aim_to_consume_better" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.customerthink.com/blog/people_will_consume_less_but_aim_to_consume_better');">people consume less</a>, and become aware as consumers and even take <a href="http://www.350.org/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.350.org/');">civil action</a>. I see so many great <a href="http://www.ecovillage.org/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.ecovillage.org/');">initiatives </a>to <a href="http://planetsave.com/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://planetsave.com/');">save the planet</a>, and even politicians joining forces for <a href="http://en.cop15.dk/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://en.cop15.dk/');">powerful action</a>.</p>
<p><strong>Consume wisely and make your voice heard</strong><br />
Many <a href="http://www.global100.org/2009/index.asp" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.global100.org/2009/index.asp');">corporations care</a> too. I don&#8217;t care if they do so, because its in demand, but I hope so! We, the consumers, have to make it worth their while. Demand sustainable production. <a href="http://www.fairtraderesource.org/change-the-world/buy-fair-trade-products/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.fairtraderesource.org/change-the-world/buy-fair-trade-products/');">Buy fair-trade</a>. <a href="http://creativecitizen.com/solutions/497-Eat-Less-Meat" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://creativecitizen.com/solutions/497-Eat-Less-Meat');">Eat less meat</a>. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_food" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_food');">Consume local produce</a>. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recycling" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recycling');">Recycle</a>. <a href="http://www.consumeless.net/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.consumeless.net/');">Consume less</a> and <a href="http://www.customerthink.com/blog/people_will_consume_less_but_aim_to_consume_better" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.customerthink.com/blog/people_will_consume_less_but_aim_to_consume_better');">better quality</a>. <a href="http://www.kiva.org/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://www.kiva.org/');">Lend out</a> what you can spare. Use public transportation. Walk or bike. Let the dollar circulate. </p>
<p>We can&#8217;t do it all. I am no fanatic. I am a consumer of numerous luxurious products that I love, but don&#8217;t really need. I also love to see the clouds from above and the earth in a bigger perspective. I feel that if I put into use what I learn from the people I travel to visit, it sort of compensates? I really try to keep my sins in moderation. I really try to be a conscious consumer. And I try to use the wonderful web to raise a voice to endorse the good (more so than ban the evil), and I try to make others do the same. </p>
<p><strong>Volume</strong><br />
31K+ posts about climate change is the result of the blog action day. We each have one voice. The shadow of the single windmill on the picture above is pale and barely visible. Each and every one of us make constant choices. As we fill our shopping baskets. As we engage in subject matters. As we live our modern lives. Make a virtue of necessity. Now.</p>
